Amasara Gajadeera is a State Counsel attached to the Attorney General’s Department of Sri Lanka and is currently an LLM candidate at Washington College of Law (WCL), American University, specializing in International Trade and Investment. As a graduate student at WCL she is serving the position of Research Assistant primarily focusing on Social Enterprise and Impact Investing. Further, she is the Dean’s Fellow of the International Legal Studies Program at WCL. As a State Counsel she has been working in the Civil Division for over five years, aside from litigation and providing advice on matters concerning the State, her scope of work includes international and local investment and commercial arbitrations where the Sri Lanka is a party. She is a law graduate of Colombo University and also holds a Bsc Management with Law degree from the London School of Economics.
