Clémence Lizé is currently working at the UN Secretariat in New York focusing on climate and environmental policy-making and diplomacy.
Until recently, Clémence was studying for a PhD in History on China’s integration to the international legal system during the late Qing era, at l’Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, in Paris. She also worked as an energy policy expert at the International Energy Agency, focusing on state-level strategies and regulatory processes to foster the clean energy transition, whilst ensuring the stability of the State's energy security system. She has previously interned at the Council of the European Union in Foreign Affairs, focusing on European and Asian relations, as well as the United Nations Development Programme in Beijing.
Clémence holds a dual Masters degree in History and International Affairs from the London School of Economics and Political Science and Peking University.
