This symposium, a unique collaboration between Harvard International Law Journal, Yale Journal of International Law, and the “China, Law and Development” project and the Commercial Law Centre, both at the University of Oxford, featured scholars from not only the US and China but also Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK and Brazil. By highlighting the scholarship of established academics, junior scholars and law students, this symposium helped to promote intellectual exchange about China’s relationship to the changing international legal order including, centrally, the US-China relationship, but also with other states that have strong economic, legal and security ties with China

Over 200 participants from around the world joined the presenters and discussants to consider “China and the International Legal Order.”
