Portland Communications publishes an annual report on commercial courts (“Commercial Courts Report”) covering such aspects as caseload and number of litigants for that year who use specific commercial courts, for example, the London Commercial Court. The Commercial Courts Report is read by dispute resolution practitioners, lawyers, judges, arbitrators, academics, and policy makers. For the Commercial Courts Report 2020, Matthew Erie has written a brief essay, “The China Question: International Commercial Courts between London and Beijing,” which compares the London Commercial Court to the China International Commercial Court, finding that differences between the two courts reflect some of their respective state’s approach to economic integration.
