Eva Lena Richter holds a MA in Regional Chinese Studies, a BA in Regional Chinese Studies, and a Bsc in Business Administration. During her studies she has focussed on law and legal development in China. For three years, she supported Professor Michaela Pelican and the Global South Studies Center Cologne as a research assistant and worked for GIZ for a year (German Development Agency).
Currently she is a PhD candidate at the Chair of Chinese Legal Culture of the University of Cologne, supervised by Professor Björn Ahl, and a Foundation of Germany Business (SDW) fellow. Her thesis looks at the legal framework for skilled migration to the People’s Republic of China.
