Dr. Saeed Qadir is a Senior research officer at CAREC Institute. Dr. Qadir manages research portfolio of the CAREC Institute and is spearheading CI’s flagship research on CAREC Regional Integration Index. Dr. Qadir is a Fulbright Scholar. He holds a doctorate in Economics and Public Policy from Claremont Graduate University, Los Angeles, USA and Master’s in international law and Economics from World Trade Institute, University of Berne, Switzerland. His research interest includes Comparative Economic Development, International Trade and Sustainable Development, Globalization and Regional Economic Integration with focus on China’s globalism. As an adjunct faculty at leading universities in Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China, he taught various graduate courses on Economics, Pubic Policy, Globalization and Economic Development.
He is a career civil servant working for Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan since 1999. He worked as a Commercial Counsellor, Consulate General of Pakistan, UAE from March 2013 to July 2016.
