Stanislav is a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Law at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg. He holds a BA degree in Oriental Studies (Socio-political development of China) from the Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia) and an MA degree in European and Global Studies from the University of Padova (Italy).
Stanislav was previously working at the Human Rights Center of the University of Padova, and he has expertise in Chinese studies, international relations, and law. His current research at the University of Luxembourg is dealing with the interplay between mega-infrastructure projects and human rights in Chinese foreign policy with a particular focus on the Western Balkans as a region where Chinese and European investments largely overlap.
Apart from being a Research Associate at the China, Law and Development project, Stanislav is also a member of the European China Law Studies Association (ECLS), CHERN (The China in Europe Research Network) and he is also coaching the University of Luxembourg team for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
