Ying Wu is a Ph.D. candidate in Shanghai Jiao Tong University Law School and a research associate at Law and Society Center. Before joining the doctoral program, she received her LL.B., B.A. in Economics and J.M. from SJTU. She is a fellow of the Global Women Leadership Project at the University of Pennsylvania Law School where she obtained her LL.M. degree. Ying is a member of the Chinese Bar Association. Previously, she served as a law clerk in the Supreme People's Court of China and received training from financial institutions to multinationals to the local Congress. She was a Young Ambassador for the International Leadership Foundation and a fellow at the US-Asia Institute Rule of Law Program. Her research has addressed issues of law and development, legal pluralism, international human rights and feminist legal theory.
